I got back last night from 9,117 miles spread out over 22 days. What a
trip. The kind of trip many people dream about. Of course, many
people I ran into thought I was nuts. But then, one night while channel
surfing in a motel, I came across a program on the History Channel that summed
it up: Touring on a motorcycle is like riding a horse, you are not
"in" a vehicle, you are "on" one, and you are not
"looking" at the scenery, you are "in" the scene.

Now all I need to complete the tasks for the award is a stamp from a park in
Washington state. In August, I'll take a 3 or 4 day trip to go there.
