I put the finishing touches on the 4 day AZ trip. I deleted the stamps that I already got from the old plan, and added a few more in. All stamps will be from AZ on this trip, 13 in all, more than doubling my total collected so far. I have Good Friday off as a holiday, and I will take the Thursday off, also. Now I just need to get the ZRX back together. I am waiting for some valve shims. I will change the plugs and sync the carbs, too. For the trip, I planned the gas stops, and I put the gas and stamp stops onto the GPS. Just a few more weeks to go. I’m hoping for some good weather. Added 03/30 – I finished the valve job and related tasks. Superbike races in Fontana are next weekend. I need to look for saddlebags or an expedition bag so I can stow my gear. I haven’t been on a trip on the bike longer than a 3-day weekend, so for this summer, I will need some extra space. I also made reservations for the 3 nights on the trip to AZ that will be in 3 weeks. I also am using Daniel Cohen’s site - 100 Days 48 States - The Parks website for research. |
